Ceylon BOP1 Premium is a black tea from Sri Lanka.
The BOP1 designation refers to the quality and size of the leaves, as well as the specific cut.
BOP stands for Broken Orange Pekoe—tea with leaves cut into smaller pieces—while the digit "1" indicates superior quality within this category.
The Ceylon BOP1 leaves are finely cut and medium-sized, allowing for faster brewing and the release of the tea's full flavor. The leaves are dark, and the resulting infusion takes on a warm, intense copper hue. Thanks to the finer leaves, the brew is more robust and aromatic. It pairs well with additions such as milk, sugar, or lemon, yet tastes equally delicious on its own.
Brew 2 grams of tea in 200 ml of water at 95–100°C.
